Mystery of Kathyayini-Chapter 01

 And i was raped....They threw me out of the bus. I was left out there all by myself in the forest at night. 

I cried and kept on crying in the same position i was left in just a while ago. It was cold, i had not a string of cloth on my body. My body ached and so did my heart. I could feel my body giving up on me. I was tired and exhausted, both mentally and physically. All i could do now was to pour my heart out through my tears...

I looked around. There was blood everywhere. I had many things that was lingering on my mind...."just why?" "why me?" "why was i raped?" "and why am i still alive my lord??"
My thoughts were interrupted by the noise of something sniffing. I did not even had to turn around and look to figure out that i was in danger. however i still managed to get myself up in a sitting position.

And there, my eyes met with a fierce looking Tiger. My heart beats raised with each passing seconds. I just knew i was in much more danger than i already was at the moment. My mind was blank and all i could think of was a way to evade from the situation.

I moved back with the help of my hands as slow as i can  only to make that motion instantly faster later on, when i saw the tiger taking it's steps towards me. The look on it's face pointed out hunger and thirst for it's prey, which almost completely resembled my rapists. My tears continued to run down my cheeks.

I just knew in every way i would get eaten or attacked, once i noticed the tiger moving in a quicker manner. But, all of a sudden, my instincts told me something else. I had no time to waste thinking and did the same.

Despite being drained of both energy and hope i decided to climb upon the nearest tree i found. i let out a whimper in each step that i took and was terrified to the core hearing the tiger roaring louder and louder each time.  I groaned feeling my skin burning as i move. My eyes blurred with tears. The only thing that pushed me forward was my fear of death. I somehow managed to climb up the tree with the help of some branches and by balancing on the faults of the tree. By now i had completely covered my body with bruises and scratches apart from the ones that i already held. I sat on a branch hugging my  knees close to my chest. I felt slightly relieved now.

 Suddenly, i let out a loud scream with terror when i felt a snake slithering from the branches and then onto my hands. However, due to my sudden reflex the snake fell down. It fell straight on top of the frustrated tiger and coiled itself around the tigers body. I was still in the same position sobbing hard pathetically with fear.

I could see the two animals desperately trying to get rid of each other. The snake went ahead and bit the tiger. It must have been the snake's venom that caused the tiger to collapse in a matter of seconds. The snake slithered its way out into the dark soon after.

As i watched the snake crawl away my eyes got caught on something. There was a T-shirt lying on the ground. It was torn on most of the places but i decided to cover myself with it anyway. Because Afterall it is still better than being naked in the wild.

I got down slowly, crawling towards it and picked it up. As i was about to wear it i noticed something strange. The shirt gave off an awfully familiar fragrance. I recognized it as a perfume that i often use.

My heart stinged on the realization that this must have belonged to a girl just like me. "what if she went through the same as me?" i thought...As soon as i wore the shirt i blacked out.
